L.S.R. Attempt for steam propelled vehicles
We are to attempt to break the land speed record for steam power vehicles, currently set at just below 150mph. We intend using the chassis of the single track vehicle described in another part of our website, as the most cost effective, practical means of achieiving our goal. The primary reason, is to showcase our new design of waste heat engine. As its name suggests, it is primarily a heat recovery engine, many industrial processes are wasteful. Our goal is to recover as much of that waste heat and convert to electrical energy to feed back into the national grid, or further utilise on site. Breaking the existing record will be vindication of the practicability of our design. The costs of this project are escalating, and if any backers wish to become involved, so much the better, and if anybody is looking for a world record, to hang on their wall, £100,000 secures your seat, and a page in history.
